Tailgate, Backyard & BBQ always draws a large crowd. Attendees and exhibitors mingle, enjoy food and explore products outside in the sunshine. The Smart Home Virtual Reality Experience was a brand new offering at the show. This area allowed attendees to experience the latest smart home trends. Entrepreneurs have a chance to present their ideas to a large audience and pitch their products to industry representatives in the Inventors Spotlight area. The nonprofit organization, 2x4's for Hope, was on-site to share how they help veterans in need of shelter. Showgoers could make donations for future projects. Matt Woods, CEO of Woods Hardware in Cincinnati, won $100,000 for his business through the National Hardware Show's Reimagine Retail program.
